I used Opera for many years. I remember having to pay to have the banner ad.s removed. I really liked it a lot I remember telling people that it was the “Fastest Browser on Earth”. I remember how it would run multiple searches in the same tab. They hooked me with the mouse gestures, I am so well trained that I have a hard time surfing with a browser that doesn’t use them. I really enjoyed Opera and when an updated version was rolled out I set time aside to figure out the new features (I’m not a programmer, I’m just a guy). I enjoyed belonging to the Opera web community and would ask questions from time to time and I would get answers. I enjoyed picking out new skins… I remember one that I used for a very long time that looked like it was made out of wood.
Anyhow when Opera went through it’s change I felt like I had been abandoned, I lost a friend. The past few years I’ve been using Pale Moon (mostly) and Sea Monkey and another called Avant. None of them do all that I want to do. Pale Moon probably comes the closest but I have asked several questions on their blog like “Why can’t I view Amazon vid.s in Pale Moon” and I will get rude responses from the administrator or the next time I try to sign in my username & PW don’t work any more. As long as I say nice things about Pale Moon I am welcome, but when I ask uncomfortable questions I get bumped.
